While the NDRA’s prominence has
fluctuated over the years, its
impact on the drag racing world
remains undeniable. As NOPI
Motorsports prepares for a grand
comeback with the revival of NOPI
nationals in 2025, there are high
hopes that the NOPI Drag Racing
Association will once again take
center stage.
The return of NOPI Nationals offers
a perfect opportunity to
reinvigorate the NDRA, bringing
together the best elements of drag
racing with the vibrant
community-focused atmosphere that
NOPI is known for. With advancements
in automotive technology and a new
generation of racers eager to prove
themselves, the future of the NDRA
looks bright.
We are proud to announce the return
of NOPI Nationals at Maryland
International Raceway – MIR. Royce
Miller, owner of Maryland
International Raceway stated: “We
are excited to have NOPI back at
MIR. Their incredible car show,
along with great racing and drifting
will be a must-see event”.
The “NDRA Inaugural” at MIR is
coming August 15-17, 2025. Further
details on classes will be announced
soon. We are going to have a huge
car show, drag race competition, and
drift competition. MIR was one of
NOPI’s favorite venues to throw and
event. This is a world-famous track
that is home to the “Haltech World
Cup Finals Import vs. Domestic”.
This is going to be an epic event at
an epic venue. This is where I (Sam
Mahdavi) had my last pro event in
the NDRA in 2008, won in 2006. More
exciting information is coming soon!
