MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND (December
14th, 2023) - After much internal
discussion, it has been decided that
Maryland International Raceway (MIR)
will hold the 1320 Fabrication ET
Series presented by East Coast
Collision Championship Ceremony on
the Hitchcock Autoworks stage behind
the tower at the ET Series Kick-off
in March 2024. We will present all
championship trophies, jackets, and
Top 10 awards during the ceremony.
However, we will be sending all
championship and points checks out
to the racers in the next few days.
Any racer that will be receiving
points fund money that has recently
had a change of address, please
contact the MIR office as soon as
possible.
The championship trophies for the
Late Model Performance Midnight
Madness series will be handed out at
the first Midnight Madness event of
the year in March 2024 just before
first round of eliminations. As with
the ET Series, Championship checks
will be sent out now along with the
ET Series checks. Details on the
presentations are still being worked
on and more details will be
announced later.
While this was not an easy decision
to make, with the rising costs of
holding the banquet, we didn’t feel
it would be right to continue to
charge $50 or more per person to
come to the awards banquet. We have
also seen a lack of fundraising for
the ET Series with the 50/50 program
making it difficult to continue the
banquet and everything for the Team
Finals. We will continue the 50/50
program to help with the costs of
the Team Finals for the Team Roster
fees, shirts/jackets, hats, team
meal, etc.
