MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND (November 10th, 2022) – The 1320 Fabrication ET Series presented by East Coast Collision Championship Weekend, October 29th – 30th brought intense racing action from start to finish. A yearlong battle for the championship would all come down to one race, on one day, Championship Sunday. Going into Sunday’s Finale in Top ET, Robbie Parlett would hold a comfortable 49-point lead over Jimmy Tayman, 59 points over Vic Gordy and Chris Maloney, and 80 points over Buddy McGowan. In Mod ET, Keith Burch would hold a 29-point lead over second place AJ Jenkins, 58 points over Brian Mclaughlin, and 69 points over Jake Milstead. In Hubble Motorsports Junior Dragsters, Hailey Pumphrey would hold a 20-point lead over Jordan Denny, and 42 points over Katie Hall.

In Top ET the drama would be minimal at best. Jimmy Tayman and Buddy McGowan would be eliminated in first round giving Parlett a chance to hold off Gordy and Maloney with the 59 point lead he held over the two coming into the final day. All three drivers would be eliminated in the second round of eliminations securing Parlett’s Top ET Championship. Robbie Parlett is the 2022 Top ET Champion for the third time in his career and a back-to-back champion. Parlett previously won the Top ET Championship back in 2021 and in 2018. Parlett joins elite company becoming the fourth driver to win three Top ET Championships at MIR. The three drivers that he joins are Wesley Washington, Tom Cable, and Gary Facemire. No driver has ever won more than three Top ET Championships at MIR.

In Mod ET, Keith Burch would come into the day holding a 29-point lead over second place AJ Jenkins. In second round, the drama would begin. Burch would line up next to Brian McLaughlin and would go -.006 on R/T and end up being eliminated early. This opened the door for Jenkins and McLaughlin to chase him down. McLaughlin would be eliminated in third round and Jenkins would be the lone driver with the opportunity to chase down Burch. Jenkins would best Jake Milstead in third round, who would ironically go -.006 on R/T. In fourth round, Jenkins would be able to get the bye run to take the points lead from Burch and be able to secure his first ever Mod ET championship. This is Jenkins’ second career championship at MIR as he won the Hubble Motorsports Junior Dragster Championship in 2015.

In Hubble Motorsports Junior Dragsters, a three-horse race would emerge going into the final day of eliminations. Katie Hall would be eliminated in second round, and we would see Pumphrey and Denny pair up in third round. This would be the most important matchup of the year for these two drivers as it could decide the championship hopes for either. Denny would be better on R/T compared to Pumphrey and would eliminate her in the third round. Denny would need to make it to the semifinals to take the points lead from Pumphrey and secure his third championship. Denny not only made it to the semifinals, but would runner up and secure the 2022 championship. Denny also won the Hubble Motorsports Junior Dragster Championship in 2018 and 2019.
